Our care team is trained to help residents when they display aggressive behaviors or might be struggling with their mental health. We also have mental health professionals and clinicians who visit the community regularly throughout the week to work with residents and provide medication assistance, life skill classes, and 1:1 therapy sessions. Our team strives to use therapeutic techniques to help improve the lives of all our residents.
At Encanto Palms, we also place a premium on resident safety, and among the measures we take are:
- Gated community / secured environment
- Window alarms
- Emergency call lights
- Team members who check on residents at least every two hours
- A structured environment with no cell phones, tablets, or laptops. Residents can use landlines to contact loved ones
- Staff members will provide transportation and escort residents to outside appointments.
Residents in our behavioral unit also integrate with the rest of the community for activities and events and take part in charitable initiatives that help the broader community.
Secure Memory Care
We offer secured memory care here at Encanto Palms Assisted Living. We know that when someone is living with the progressive stages of memory loss, they and their families will need continued support and assistance. We also understand that each case is uniquely different and deserves the utmost attention and care. We offer the care and attention needed to help with this process in each unique case.
The Mirage Unit is designed for residents with a combination of dementia and a psychiatric diagnosis. Caregivers are trained in managing the behaviors and symptoms that accompany such diagnoses such as: wandering, pacing, refusing or combativeness with care, verbally abusive, or difficulty with redirection.
